Membership Categories
 

Proprietary Membership

Ownership is the primary, and recommended, membership category. It is the only category with no limits, and includes unlimited golf, use of practice facilities, and entitlement to all club privileges and activities. A Proprietary Member has an ownership interest in the club and is entitled to vote and hold office as a governing Board member. Membership includes full privileges for spouse and dependent children under the age of 25. Accompanied grandchildren under 25 may also play golf at no cost. There are special privileges of ownership, including priority tee times, cart leasing, use of private carts (for a trail fee) and free membership in the Private Club Network (PCN), which gives access to over 100 private golf clubs throughout the country.
 

Jr. Executive Membership

Must be at least 21 years of age but not more than 39 years. A Junior Executive has all the rights of a Proprietary member except voting, property rights and eligibility for election to the Board. Membership includes spouse and children under the age of 25. 
 

Seasonal Membership

Must maintain a second residence that is at least 100 miles from the Club. They are entitled to many of the privileges of Proprietary membership. They may not vote, hold office nor hold an equity position in the Club. Such entitlement shall be for a specified period of six continuous months within any twelve-month period.
 

Corporate Membership

Corporate memberships are available to large and small businesses, schools, government agencies and other employers who may nominate between 2 and 10 employees to become members. A Corporate member has all the rights of a Proprietary member except voting, property rights and eligibility for election to the Board. 
 

36-Month Limited Membership.

For a reduced initiation fee and reduced monthly dues, this class of membership allows an individual to either play 6 single rounds of golf a month or 10 total family rounds of golf per month while also enjoying all social aspects of the club. After three years, the individual may choose to either exit the club or become a Proprietary Member with unlimited golfing privileges. 
 

Lease Membership

The Lease is for a term of six (6) months. The lease may be renewed for a maximum of an additional three (3) terms of six (6) months. A Lease member has all the rights of a Proprietary member except voting, property rights and eligibility for election to the Board. 50% of paid leasing fees may be applied to initiation fee if a Proprietary membership is purchased. 
 

Social Membership

Member and spouse may use the clubhouse for dining, meetings, and special events. Social members may also attend Club social events. Social members do not have golf privileges or equity interest in the Club. They are not entitled to vote or hold office. 
 

Swimming, Tennis & Fitness

Any active member of Bernardo Heights Country Club may purchase a membership at the Community Center of Bernardo Heights to enjoy tennis, swimming and workout facilities.
