Membership
Membership at Haig Point is more than a country club membership. Here, you belong to a special, private community and enjoy a unique lifestyle. Membership benefits abound at Haig Point. Enjoy Friday Happy Hours at our oceanfront Calibogue Club, sunset trail rides along the Bloody Point Beach, yoga and group wellness classes at the Fitness Center, and 29 holes of Rees Jones golf at your fingertips. Celebrate at special events with live entertainment and in the company of wonderfully fascinating people – your Haig Point friends and neighbors.
Signature Full Golf Membership
Equity Membership
- Must own property within the Haig Point Community
- Voting privileges apply (l vote per membership)
- Capital assessments may apply
- Membership can be held in the name of an entity
Amenities
Amenity access for the immediate family is at no charge (other than the items listed below). Amenity access for a guest is charged at the rate listed in the Haig Point Annual Dues and Fees Summary.
Family Privileges
- Member’s immediate family is entitled to use the club facilities in accordance with the member’s category of membership. (Includes member’s spouse and unmarried children under age 25 who are living at home or attending school on a full-time basis)
- Member’s extended family is entitled to use the club facilities in accordance with the member’s category of membership at the fees listed on the current Dues and Fees Summary. (Includes Member’s parents, siblings, adult children, grandchildren and the spouses of each)
- A single Member may designate an individual to receive the same Club usage privileges as they apply to the spouse.
Golf
- Green fees for the Full Golf Member & Immediate Family are included in the dues (cart fees are additional).
- Green fees for Extended Family and Guests are charged at the rate listed in the Haig Point Annual Dues and Fees Summary.
- The Golf Pro on Staff is available for private lessons and group clinics.
- Green and cart fees are subject to change by the Board of Directors.
- Haig Point tee times may be booked fourteen (14) days in advance. Reasonable priority is given to Full Golf Members for Club-sponsored tournaments.
Tennis
- Court fees for Full Golf Member and Immediate Family are included in the annual dues.
- The Tennis Pro on Staff is available for private lessons and group clinics.
Lodging
Full Golf Members receive access to Haig Point lodging at discounted rates. Guests of Members receive the Haig Point Guest rates (restrictions may apply).
Food and Beverage
- Haig Point dinner reservations at the Calibogue Club may be booked and guaranteed seven days in advance. Groups of 8 or more may contact the Events Director for special exceptions.
- Reservations are not required for lunch at the Calibogue Club or the Grill Room.
- Reasonable priority will be given to Signature Members for special Club-sponsored events
Transportation
- Ferry access for immediate and extended family and guests is included at no additional charge.
- Water Taxi transportation between Haig Point and Harbour Town is available; However, restrictions and fees apply.
Parking
Two Member parking decals for the Haig Point Embarkation are included at no additional charge.
Guest Privileges
- Guests permitted upon payment of appropriate guest fee (accompanied or unaccompanied, restrictions apply)
- Member is responsible for payment of all charges made by member’s guests
- A Guest of a Member is defined as an individual whom the Member invites either to accompany him or her in using the facilities of the Haig Point Club or for a personal social visit with the Member.
- Individuals who are Daufuskie Island property owners or residents who are not Members of Haig Point will not be considered to be Haig Point Guests.
Designated Users
- May designate up to three additional individuals as users of membership privileges
- Family privileges apply to designated users
- Only one user of the membership may claim member privileges at one time. All others will be considered guests and will be required to pay the appropriate fees.
- Additional dues cost of $2000 per additional user paid yearly in advance
Lessee Privileges
- Designate lessee of residential unit as beneficial user of membership privileges for a minimum of 90 days
- Copy of lease and application for use privileges required
- A membership (in good standing) must be currently in place for the residential unit being leased
- During such time, lessor (member) shall have no membership privileges
- Member is responsible for all annual dues, club fees and charges made by lessee left unpaid
Assignment Privileges
- Designate individual as beneficial user of membership privileges for a minimum of 90 days
- During such time, the member shall have no membership privileges
- A membership must be in good standing
- Member is responsible for all annual dues, club fees and charges made by assignee left unpaid
Additional Fees
- Golf cart or trail fees
- Locker and bag storage (if desired)
- Personal charges
Reimbursement of Membership Contribution
- Written notice of resignation is required, but dues and assessments are payable until membership is reissued.
- When membership is reissued by the club, if resigned member is in good standing, member is entitled to receive 60% of current membership contribution
