Metacomet Country Club Membership

The membership of Metacomet Country Club shall consist of those persons in classifications who have been regularly elected to memberships in accordance with the club By-Laws and who are in good standing. No membership shall be transferred. The rights attributable to each class of membership shall be determined by the Board of Governors. The classes of membership consist of:

Membership Types

Active Membership
An “individual A Membership” is available to an individual twenty-one (21) years of age or older. This membership shall entitle the A member access to the golf course and Club House as prescribed by the Board of Governors. The spouse of an individual A member shall have access to the Club House only.

A “family AA Membership” is available to married couples. Both family AA members shall have access to the golf course and Club House as prescribed by the Board of Governors. Children of family AA members under the age of nineteen (19) shall have access to the golf course and Club House as prescribed by the Board of Governors.

A “family AB Membership” is available to married couples or co-habitants. One spouse (partner) shall be designated as the A member and the other spouse (partner) the B member. The A member shall have access to the golf course and Club House as prescribed by the Board of Governors. The B member shall have access to the golf course and Club House as prescribed by the Board of Governors. Children of Family AB members under the age of nineteen (19) shall have access to the golf course and Club House.

Social Membership
A “social membership” shall be available to individuals 21 years of age or older. They shall be entitled to Club House privileges and use of the golf course as determined by the Board of Governors from time to time. The spouse and children of social members shall have access to the Club House only.

Corporate Membership
A “corporate membership” shall be available to any active and bona fide corporation, partnership, limited liability company, or other business entity. The membership shall consist of at least two (2) but no more than four (4) principals, officers, or employees of such an entity. Corporate membership is a separate class of membership: each individual enjoying the privileges under a Corporate Membership shall be deemed “designated members”. If a designated member ceases to work or be employed by the entity, his/her membership will cease and the entity will be eligible to submit another individual. Corporate members shall have access to the golf course and Club House as prescribed by the Board of Governors.
